Reviews Linux Hosting ThePlanet
We've been with RackShack, that turned into EV1Servers who morphed into ThePlanet over the last several years - which is why, this is one of the most glowing reviews you'll ever find on DevLib. They've remain our host of choice. We've gone from one lowly dedicated server to multiple server on a private rack over the years we've been with ThePlanet. They've been rock solid in terms of the network - had a few minutes downtime here and there, but that could never be pinpointed to being a problem on their network. Their hardware has been top notch for us, as far as we're concerned (do not that we tend to go for high to medium end hardware avoiding all the Celerons and SATA junk that one might be inclined to go for). Our only problem has been with their setup. No clue why, but they always mess the initial setup up. Not spectacularly, but something or the other goes wrong - bad passwords, IP addresses in the welcome letter, no control panel or disks not mounted correctly etc. Small irritating stuff - which matters if you need the servers ASAP. First level support can be a bit of a problem at times if you submit a ticket. What works for us is submit a ticket and wait for a response. If the response seems vague, we get on the live chat and the problem is usually solved pretty competantly. So, overall, they get our seal of approval Reviews (0)
